Transport Canberra has paused light rail services between Civic and Gungahlin while crews inspect overhead wiring. Replacement buses are running.
Power out across parts of Tuggeranong
Evoenergy reports approximately 4,200 properties without power in Tuggeranong and Woden. Crews are en route. Estimated restoration: early afternoon.
First SES callouts in Belconnen
ACT SES has confirmed at least 12 callouts across Belconnen, mostly for fallen trees and minor roof damage. No injuries reported.
BOM upgrades warning to severe
The Bureau of Meteorology has upgraded its weather warning to 'severe' for the ACT and surrounding districts. Damaging winds of up to 90km/h are expected through the morning.
